Privacy Policy

This privacy statement explains how Eyecon collects, uses, and processes personal data from visitors to and customers of Eyecon. All personal data are processed in accordance with Norwegian and EU legal regulations (GDPR).

About Eyecon

Joar Vaage is, according to the Personal Data Act and the EU’s General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), responsible for the processing of personal data by Eyecon.

Personal data

Personal data is any information about an identified or identifiable natural person. Access to personal data is limited to Eyecon. We do not disclose information about our customers to other parties.

Eyecon’s processing of personal data

When you contact us, we process information to be able to deliver the services you have requested from us. We only store the information necessary to deliver services to you.

Eyecon is subject to the Archive Act and the Freedom of Information Act. Therefore, we are obliged to: store documentation and personal data in accordance with the Archive Act for a longer period than necessary for the purposes for which the personal data are processed.

Eyecon is also required to provide access to documentation and personal data in accordance with the Freedom of Information Act (i.e. a disclosure of personal data).

When does Eyecon collect personal data?

We primarily process information that you have given to us for one of these reasons: You have ordered our services or have contacted us via email.

Archives and Database

Eyecon records IP address, name, telephone number, email address, physical address, and other relevant information resulting from ordering our services.
Information in Eyecon’s database is exclusively used as a basis to be able to deliver services to you.

Information Security and Data Processing

Eyecon uses a computer for electronic storage of documents. Collected information is stored on a local computer with a backup in the cloud.

Registration, storage, and preservation occur according to the Archive legislation.

Eyecon does not collect or store sensitive information in its operations.

Email and Telephone

If you contact us by email, we will store your inquiry, our response, and your email address.

Eyecon uses email and telephone as part of daily work. Relevant information that arises from telephone conversations and email exchanges that occur as part of case processing is recorded. These data are then processed as described above. No other systematic registration of telephone conversations where the caller can be identified is done, apart from the phone call being logged in the employee’s phone list.

Eyecon also uses email in general dialogue with internal and external contacts. Sensitive personal data should not be sent by email.
Please note that regular email is unencrypted. We therefore do not encourage you to send confidential, sensitive or other confidential information via email.

Google Analytics

We collect unidentified information about visitors to eyecon.no.
Eyecon extracts statistics from Google Analytics on the total number of users of Eyecon’s website and how many of these are unique users.

The information generated by such an information cookie about the use of the relevant website, including the IP address, is sent to Google and stored on servers in the USA. The received information is subject to Google’s privacy policy.

Your Rights:

You have the right to demand access, request correction, and require deletion of your personal data unless it collides with accounting and bookkeeping laws.
